This website (lywak.ca) is operated by Josef Lywak, REALTOR®, a licensed real estate salesperson with Boyes Group Realty in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Your privacy matters to me. This policy explains what personal information I collect through this website, how I use it, who I share it with, and the choices you have.

Information I Collect

Information you give me. When you use a form or create an account on this site, I collect what you choose to provide, which may include:

  • your name, email address and phone number;
  • your message, and the details of what you are looking for;
  • a property address and details, when you request a home evaluation;
  • your home search preferences, saved searches and favourite listings, when you use the home finder or register to view listings;
  • a password, if you create an account to view listings.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, this site and the platform that hosts it automatically record some technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, and the date and time of your visit. This is done using cookies and similar technologies (see "Cookies" below).

How I Use Your Information

I use your personal information to:

  • respond to your questions and requests;
  • provide real estate services you ask for, such as a home evaluation, listing alerts or help buying or selling;
  • set up and manage your account, saved searches and favourites;
  • send you information you have agreed to receive;
  • keep records and verify identity as required of real estate professionals by law and by my brokerage; and
  • keep the website secure and understand how it is used, so I can improve it.

I only collect and use what I need for these purposes.

Your Consent

By submitting a form or creating an account, you consent to my collecting and using your information as described in this policy. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting me, subject to legal or contractual limits. If you withdraw consent, I may not be able to provide some services.

Emails and Messages

I will only send you emails such as listing alerts, market updates or newsletters if you have agreed to receive them or as otherwise permitted under Canada's anti-spam legislation. Every email includes a way to unsubscribe, or you can email me at any time and I will stop.

When Your Information Is Shared

I do not sell or rent your personal information. I share it only:

  • with Boyes Group Realty, my brokerage, which is responsible for supervising my work and keeping transaction records;
  • with service providers who help me run this website and communicate with you, such as the website platform and email services. They may use your information only to provide those services;
  • with your permission, with others involved in your real estate needs, such as lenders, lawyers, home inspectors or other REALTORS®; and
  • when required or permitted by law, for example to comply with a legal request or regulatory requirement, or to protect the rights, property or safety of my clients, myself or others.

Where Your Information Is Stored

Your information is stored with my service providers, who may store or process it in Canada or in other countries. Information stored outside Canada is subject to the laws of that country and may be accessible to its authorities.

How Long I Keep It

I keep personal information only as long as it is needed for the purposes described here, or as long as I am required to by law and by my brokerage's record-keeping rules. When it is no longer needed, it is securely deleted or made anonymous.

Keeping It Secure

I take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from loss, theft and unauthorized access, including using secure services and limiting who can see it. No method of storing or sending information online is completely secure, so I cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Choices and Rights

You can ask me to:

  • tell you what personal information I hold about you and how it has been used;
  • correct information that is inaccurate or out of date;
  • delete your account and information, where I am not required to keep it; or
  • stop sending you emails.

Cookies

Cookies are small files saved by your browser. This site uses them to keep you signed in, remember your preferences and saved searches, and understand how the site is used. You can set your browser to refuse or delete cookies, but some features, such as your account and saved searches, may not work properly without them.

Listings and Other Websites

MLS® listing information on this site is provided by the Saskatchewan REALTORS® Association. Some features, such as maps, are provided by third parties. This site also links to other websites, including my brokerage's. Those websites have their own privacy practices, and this policy does not cover them.

Children

This website is intended for adults. I do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

Changes to This Policy

I may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it was last changed.
